UI/UX Course
Embarking on an online UI/UX design course, led by Simon Lin, a Senior Product Designer from Canva with over 8 years of experience, I mastered core concepts and tools like Figma. Practical assignments included user researching, wireframing, mockups, prototyping iOS apps and RWD webpages. Beyond technical skills, the course cultivated design sensibilities and a mindset for continual growth.
KPMG Apprenticeship
As a Software & Application Apprentice in the Lighthouse Department in KPMG Consulting (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., I worked on individual and in-house software development projects, including a Meeting Room Booking System and a Helpdesk Ticketing System. Responsibilities included UI design, prototyping in Figma, full stack development using Python, Django, HTML, and Bootstrap, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning.
First Class Degree
Pursued Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Development) With Honours in Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). Achieved a CGPA of 3.81, earning First Class honors, won the Vice Chancellor Awards which only rewarded one student in each course in a faculty, and consistent placement on the Dean’s List every semester. Selected for the JPA Program Ijazah Dalam Negara (PIDN) sponsorship. Led various academic assignments and a software development project. Served as Vice President of the music club and dance crew. Actively participated in a committee in educational ICT events.
As a Java Web Developer Intern in Agile Matrix Solutions Sdn. Bhd., I contributed to the development of their corporate website using Java, HTML, and Bootstrap by converting a given UI design into a responsive web app. Their original landing page had become a fully functioned corporate website where clients and job seekers could interact with them directly.
Diploma
Pursued a Diploma in Information Technology in Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). Achieved a CGPA of 3.98, and consistent placement on the Dean’s List every semester. Selected for the JPA Dermasiswa B40 (DB40) sponsorship. Volunteered in various societies in designing posters.
SPM Straight As
Completed 5 years of secondary education in a public elite school, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato' Bentara Dalam, Segamat (SMKDBDS). Achieved straight As (10 subjects) including the elective ICT subject in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
